isn't it strange, though, that he's not the one invading yu's space? he's been sticking close but he isn't ready for this proximity, for yu to be looking at him like that. it's such a relief, that nagging yearning quieting some, but that leaves him with the pleasure singing up his arm when yu pulls him closer. yosuke grits his teeth against some embarrassing sound but yu bites the banana and yosuke's mouth drops open anyway. ]

[ it's just a bite, except yosuke would have focused on it even if things were normal. if they hadn't come so far, he'd be tripping over himself about it rounding back to some indirect kiss. like this, watching yu's mouth work, his throat work as he swallows, yosuke feels—
there's no comparison, his thoughts wrenched out of his skull and tossed into the lake. he can hardly tear his gaze away, coaxed only by the habit of meeting yu's eyes and the chance to watch yu's face pink in a way yosuke feels like he's always just missed until now.

What the hell, [ exhaled in a rush, like he's relenting. yu's right: what's stopping him?
yosuke's free hand lifts to catch yu's cheek, fingers curled along his jaw to keep him steady. yosuke's sure the food is doing whatever the hell the vendors hinted at because touching yu doesn't usually make yosuke feel like a literal electric current. usually, he can still think; now, all he can do is fit their mouths together. there's just two breaths worth of a proper kiss before yosuke gives in to the cravings, tongue pressing at the seam of yu's lips and insistently trying to coax his mouth open. ]

Yu is probably losing the war, in the end, but at least he has a few battles to count as wins along the way. Yosuke clenching his jaw, presumably to keep some sound from getting loose; the way his mouth falls open; the focus with which his eyes linger on Yu's mouth. Yeah, those are wins -- at the very least, Yu can say he goes down fighting.
It's still a submission, though, inhibitions folding all around him beneath the weight of their brief contact, skin to skin. The places where his hand meets Yosuke's arm feel good, so good, like currents of fire pumping through his blood, bringing warmth through his whole body. His palm tingles from the prolonged touch, but even those sparks can't convince his eyes to leave Yosuke's face. He's determined to occupy all of the other boy's attention; hell, he's two steps short of demanding it outright, and if Yosuke tried to look away, he probably would.
This isn't normal, of course; Yu can tell that much just from how good their eye contact feels. How much he needs it. Whatever he was expecting in terms of effects from the snack box, this wasn't exactly it -- later, he'll probably be somewhat mortified by the reality, by how he's behaving.
Right now, the way Yosuke acquiesces occupies every sliver of his focus.
Electricity sparks through his body in response to the touch of his cheek; his free hand fists in the other boy's shirt to keep him there when he closes the distance between them. Rather than let go of his arm, Yu moves to lace their fingers together, to keep their hands in contact. Everywhere they touch is like a current linking them together; it's a dizzying rush that Yu gives into almost entirely. With no hesitation his lips part; he sucks on Yosuke's tongue; he nips at his bottom lip; he delivers just as much insistence as Yosuke himself does, as if neither of them needs to breathe, as if his lungs aren't aching from the stale oxygen held there.]
