[To be honest though? Yu has so much more experience on him than Kazuya does. Not that Kazuya quite knows the extent.
Still, it'll be a fun game regardless, a test of his own ability to play his pieces right. It's exciting, enough to get his blood pumping as he brings his fingers to his lips and whistles a shrill note.
For a split second, the atmosphere is oppressive, and a dark, swirling portal opens up. Out of it steps the demon they originally talked about, Rangda, who seemingly ducks her head in apparent reverence for Kazuya.
"My King has business with the Femme, Rangda? How unusual!"]
Just a friendly little competition. You, verse yourself from another world. Whoever kills the most pests roaming around wins. And you wouldn't disappoint me, right?
[He says, stretching his arms out and cracking his knuckles as if he's the one who's about to do battle.
The demon laughs a high pitched noise, holding her claws up.
"Kekekeke! I'll show this pup what I can do!"
Granted, demons are a little distinct from Personas, in that they need no direct command to act. Sure, he can command, tell them exactly what spells to use, but if this is to be a test of strategy too, then why not choose what he presumes to be the right demon for the job and let them act (mostly) freely from there?
Kazuya looks over to Yu, left eye a blazing red as he grins.]

(He wonders, somewhat, if her power to reflect physical attacks will do anything to the crawlers. Hmm...)
Like Kazuya, Yu seems to be readying himself for a physical fight as well, rolling his shoulders. He sort of wishes he had his glasses...or even the weird pair the hotel gave him, that kept showing him numbers.
Oh well.]
Alright. [Now's the moment when the card appears in hand, and before he shatters it--] Go!
[His Rangda appears almost automatically as the card shatters, unleashing a powerful burst of Maragion on a group of their buggy friends.]

The bugs are toasted by the Maragion, and in return his Rangda gives a shrill cackle, body twisting and moving as if in an erratic, frenzied dance as several bugs are ignited and then set aflame in quick succession. Part of him itches to join in himself too, but he has to remember that this is a contest of sorts, even if there's no real prize.
The real bonus of using a demon, though? There's no need to further command Rangda. There's no delay before the she-demon descends on another group, slashing at them wildly as their pinches crunch down on her limbs... And subsequently snap in the other direction, repelled.]

In any case, an additional bonus to Kazuya's demon friend is that she doesn't seem as draining as the Persona. Yu will have to reflect on that, at some point -- maybe it has something to do with the different ways these creatures dwell within each of them. It's hard to say for sure.
Either way, it means he'll have to be a little smarter and more restrained with his magic. The nice thing about fire is that it continues burning, after the enemies are defeated -- it won't catch, not with the glistening floor lacking in combustible material, but it does continue eating at the corpses of the fallen bugs. So he sets another blaze in the middle of a large group of bugs, chasing the ones he didn't catch into the first fire.]

One he really would rather not relive, but thankfully this is just friendly competition. And one that, on glancing to his competitor, he realizes that he might have an upper-hand in, with the way he seems a little more drained than Kazuya does. Not by much, but maybe he can press this advantage? His eyes flick back to his own demon.]
Kill them all.
[To which she seemingly delights in it. The bugs that are set aflame that aren't quite dead with are met with vicious claws tearing them into little chitinous bits, before she quickly bounces to the next set starting to replace the ranks.]
